Desiccated Coconut
Desiccated coconut is harvested from the fruit of the coconut tree (Cocos nucifera). The origin and areas where these trees mainly grows are the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam and India. To produce the flakes, the flesh of the coconut is carefully dried and rasped in a range of grain sizes. Our Desiccated Coconut has an oil content of approximately 62 percent. In view of the high oil content, we recommend that they are stored in a cool, dry, air-tight environment away from sunlight. Our Desiccated Coconut is available in fine and medium grain qualities.
