ISO9001 forms the foundation of our holistic quality management system. It is a dynamic structure, which efficiently guides all relevant processes and allows us to successfully manage and operate our organization with the goal of providing high-quality and safe products.

Any company that produces, processes and markets food is required by both German law and EC Regulation 852/2004 to implement and apply the HACCP approach. This systematic approach identifies critical checkpoints in production processes thereby preventing biological, chemical and physical risks for the consumer.
ISO 14001:2015Certificate

ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard, which systematically arranges the criteria for a corporate Environmental Management System. The companies Henry Lamotte Oils GmbH and Henry Lamotte Food GmbH have been certified since 2016. With their Environmental Management Systems, both companies record, assess and continually improve the environmental impact of their activities by monitoring resource consumption, such as natural gas, oil, water, electricity as well as packaging materials. The systems also observe the companies’ emissions of exhaust fumes from heating, waste and recyclables as well as noise and odours.  
IFS (International Featured Standard) Certificate

IFS-FOOD is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized international food safety scheme. The system certifies food producing companies and ensures that the customer receives a product, which complies with the agreed specifications. At the same time, the scheme imposes strict, clearly defined hygiene and process safety requirements upon the certified producers
IFS BrokerCertificate

IFS BROKER is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognised international standard for food security. This certification of traders ensures that the customer receives a product, which meets contractual specifications. In addition, the standard imposes exacting and clearly defined hygiene, process, safety and certification requirements on producers.



In accordance with the EU Directive 2003/94/EC our filling plants and storage facilities comply with GMP requirements for the production of pharmaceuticals and are regularly inspected by the local pharmacovigilance authorities. 
The Qualität und Sicherheit certification mark stands for the certified quality of both fresh meats and meat and sausage products. The QS scheme for food covers all stages of the product chain – from animal husbandry and feed to the final meat processing and sausage production. Henry Lamotte Oils has been certified for the sectors straight feeds, compound feeds, premixes and additives. We supply industry with a range of vegetable oils, fats, essential oils, oleoresins – as well as low-fat press cakes from our oil production as high-quality feed additives.

The German “Bio” label designates that the produce or food product originates from verified organic agriculture or natural animal husbandry as per EC-Eco-Regulation. In order to receive the “Bio” label the food must fulfil EU statutory requirements. The label is intended to boost consumer confidence in the product as well as enhance transparency for the consumer. 


The European V-Label identifies vegetarian and vegan foods. Since its introduction in 1996 food producers and retailers can apply for a licence with the Swiss V-Label GmbH. The European Vegetarian Union is an umbrella organisation for numerous European vegetarian organisations.


Bio Suisse is the umbrella organization of Switzerland’s organic farmers‘ associations. It brings together over 90% of the country’s organic farms. The Bio Suisse guidelines incorporate the entire value-added chain – from the field to the table – on a voluntary basis.

Unlike foodstuffs, cosmetic products are not covered by the current EU Eco Regulations. This means that cosmetic products cannot be certified in accordance with existing EU regulations on organic products. 
The COSMOS-standard was created in order to assure the consumer that they are purchasing safe organic products. The COSMOS ORGANIC label ensures that the entire supply chain – from the field to the production of the final product – complies with COSMOS requirements. The COSMOS-standard is based on the EU Eco Directive and supplemented with regulations covering environmental impact during production. Henry Lamotte Oils supplies manufacturers of final products with vegetable raw materials (oils, greases and waxes). 

Legislators have not defined the terms “natural material” or “natural raw material”. The COSMOS NATURAL label was created to provide consumers with credible products made from natural raw materials The COSMOS NATURAL label ensures that the entire supply chain – from the field to the production of the final product – complies with COSMOS requirements. The COSMOS-standard regulates and monitors manufacturing processes and the sources of raw materials. Henry Lamotte Oils supplies manufacturers of final products with vegetable raw materials (oils, greases and waxes). 


The Jewish dietary laws originate from the Torah, the five books of Moses. According to these books foods are categorized in kosher and non-kosher. In order to market kosher food, a rabbi must issue a hechsher or “seal of approval” for that food product. More Certifications here

Halal refers to the characteristics of foods, drinks, additives, cosmetics and other consumer goods, which are permissible for Muslims to consume in accordance with Islamic scriptures. The Halal Certificate is a guarantee for practicing Muslims that the use and consumption of the product is allowed in Islam. 

GOED (Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s) is a non-profit organisation, which seeks to increase the global consumption of Omega-3 products and ensure that industry produces high-quality Omega-3 products that consumers can trust. We are proud to be a member.
MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) 



The Marine Stewardship Council is a private organisation that developed an environmental seal for fish from sustainable fisheries. MSC certified products originate from sustainable fishing methods, which protect the oceans and fish populations in the long-term.


ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) 


ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) signifies certified aquaculture throughout the entire supply chain: from the fish farm to the final product. The Council’s focus is on environmental protection with regard to water quality and responsible use of feed and antibiotics. Their goal is to ensure sustainable healthy fish farming, which protects the seas from overfishing.


IFFO RS CoC Certification enables producers/traders of fish oil and fish meal to demonstrate full traceability of IFFO RS compliant products throughout the production process; from the approved raw material sourced from responsibly managed fisheries, to the manufacture and delivery of safe and pure products.

We are members of the “Business Social Compliance Initiative”, a pioneering programme through which companies take an active part in maintaining their social responsibility for working conditions in factories and agricultural businesses as well as for environmental protection in global trading. We implement this jointly with our business partners in the countries of origin also with the support of independent auditors.

RSPO stands for Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. Certified RSPO production fosters the sustainable cultivation of palm oil. RSPO certifies the entire supply chain from the plantation to the production of final consumer products. In this supply chain Henry Lamotte Oils is an importer and packager of bulk containers for the processing industry.  
AEO FCertificate

The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status serves to secure the supply chain – from producer to final consumer. The overall goal is the creation of a modern and effective risk management in the context of customs procedures.
